Mental Prayer Support – Holy Week – 4: Jesus Anointed at Bethany

This is a series of 10 Christian Meditations for the Holy Week.

Today we’ll be with Jesus in a dinner offered in His honor a few days before His passion.
There we see how Mary of Bethany shows love to our Lord in her original way. And Jesus treasured her act.
She has anointed my body beforehand for my burial, Jesus said when everyone was against Mary, because she used a costly perfume in Jesus.
Let us be inspired by that manifestation of love and love Jesus more.

If it’s your first time here, go to the introduction series, where we explain what mental prayer is, show some benefits, then we indicate how to pray with Mental Prayer Support.

John 14: 31
but the world must know that I love the Father and that I do just as the Father has commanded me. Get up, let us go.

John 12: 1-3
Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with him. Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil made from genuine aromatic nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair; the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.

John 14: 21
Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.

John 14: 15
If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

John 15: 7-14
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.
